You can refund your ticket free of charge for these countries/regions that have imposed major travel restrictions. This is the current list of destinations where we offer free refunds, but please note things are changing rapidly.   To be eligible for refund, your original ticket must match these dates:

These restrictions are defined based on locations where the travel restrictions are unduly prohibitive. We are unable to consider the constraints of all countries’ travel-imposed rules right now, but please bear in mind we are constantly reviewing these as the situation evolves.

For all other countries, we are not able to offer a free refund, but you can change your flight with no rebooking or rerouting fees (fare difference applies). We are not able to give refunds for tickets that were bought after travel restrictions were announced.

SCOOT

Scoot has made adjustments to our network in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau since 30 January 2020. From 8 February 2020, Scoot will be suspending all flights between Singapore and Mainland China.

Scoot will temporarily suspend flights to and from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Seoul in South Korea, and Sapporo in Japan, as well as extending an existing suspension on flights to mainland China, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Suspension of Flights to/from Jeddah

Flights to/from Jeddah from 9 March to 25 April 2020 (inclusive) will be suspended due to a recent temporary ban on entry into Saudi Arabia for the purpose of umrah and for tourists arriving from some countries including Singapore.

Suspension of Flights to/from Seoul and Sapporo (via Taipei)

Flights to/from Seoul via Taipei (TR896 and TR897) and Sapporo via Taipei (TR892 and TR893) from 9 March to 25 April 2020 (inclusive) will also be suspended due to weak demand arising from the growing scale of the COVID-19 outbreak. Since 4 March 2020, the relevant authorities have imposed restrictions barring entry into and transit in Singapore to new visitors with recent travel history to South Korea. Hokkaido, where Sapporo is the capital city, has also declared a state of emergency over the outbreak.

Extended Suspension of Flights to/from Mainland China

To minimise the risk of community spread of the novel coronavirus in Singapore, the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) has introduced an extension of precautionary measures:

  • From 1 February 2020, 2359h, all new visitors with recent travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days will not be allowed entry into Singapore, or to transit through Singapore.
  • With immediate effect, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will suspend the issuance of all forms of new visas to those with PRC passports. Singapore’s status as a visa-free transit facility for those with PRC passports will also be suspended.
  • Previously issued short-term and multiple-visit visas for those with PRC passports will also be suspended.  During this period of suspension, they will not be allowed entry into Singapore.

Scoot had earlier implemented a temporary suspension of flights to and from mainland China from 8 February 2020 to 28 March 2020. This will be extended to 25 April 2020 (inclusive).
